Dashboard comes in two versions: Standard and Beta. Standard is the default and the one your team uses today. Beta is the same Dashboard, but new features arrive there first. Each user chooses between Standard and Beta for themselves and can switch between them at any time. Throughout this section, pages or information specific to Beta use the Beta tag.
The Two Versions
Both versions show the same organization, the same sessions and the same settings. The difference is only how early new features reach you.
How the Choice Works
There are two levels. Your organization decides whether Beta is available at all. Then, each user decides whether to use it.
Level 1: Whether Beta Is Available in Your Org
First, your Dashboard administrator must contact your Incode representative to enable Beta for your organization. Then, by default, users can choose to move from Standard to Beta. An administrator can choose to restrict users to Standard. Do this if the whole team should stay on one version: for example, if you are training new reviewers or documenting a process.
Level 2: Which Version You Personally Use
When Beta is available, each user picks their own version. Your choice is yours alone: switching does not change what your colleagues see, and two people on the same team can use different versions.
The first time Beta becomes available to you, a short introduction appears. You can try Beta from there. After that, follow the steps below to switch between versions. Save Flows and Workflows before switching.
Note
To access the introduction again, collapse the left menu and click Beta.
- In Dashboard, click Options
next to your name in the bottom left. - Select Settings.
- For Dashboard version, choose Standard or Beta. The change takes effect immediately.
Info
While you are on Beta, the bottom of the left menu shows a Beta tag. Click Back to Standard next to it to quickly switch back.
What's In Beta Right Now
Beta changes one area today. Everything else in Dashboard looks and behaves exactly as it does on Standard.
| Area | Where | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| Session details | Inside Sessions | Two distinct views: an Overview for a quicker read on the session, and a Detailed view for investigating each module that ran. |
What Switching Does Not Change
Switching version changes how Dashboard looks, not what it holds. Nothing is migrated, copied, or rebuilt, including:
- Your sessions, identities, and their history.
- Your Flows, Workflows, and module settings.
- Your users, roles, and permissions.
- Your integrations and API behavior.
Because the two versions read the same data, you can move between them mid-task without losing anything.
FAQs
Does my choice affect anyone else on my team?
No. The version is saved against your own account, so it applies only to you. Your colleagues stay on whatever version they have chosen, and a team can run on both versions at once.
Does my choice follow me to another computer?
Yes. It is stored with your account, not in the browser, so signing in somewhere else brings your chosen version with you.
Can I go back to Standard?
Yes, at any time. While you are on Beta, a Back to Standard option is available at the bottom of the left menu. If the left menu is collapsed, click Beta > Back to Standard. You can also switch between versions in your Settings. Switching happens automatically. There is no limit on how often you switch.
What happens if my organization turns Beta off later?
Anyone using Beta returns to Standard automatically. No data is affected, and users do not need to do anything themselves.
Will features in Beta change before they reach Standard?
Often, yes—that is the point of Beta. A feature only in Beta is still being refined. If a change negatively impacts you, contact your Incode representative. Feedback from Beta is what shapes the final feature released to Standard.
Note
If you have questions about Beta not answered here, contact your Dashboard admin or Incode representative.
