# eKYC Prefill Coverage

The [eKYC Prefill module](/features-and-modules/ekyc-prefill/) is available in the countries and sources below. The module's country and source are set in the module configuration, and every request must match them.

Each source must also be enabled for the organization. Contact your Incode representative to enable a source.

:::info
This is different than [eKYC Coverage](/general-reference/ekyc-coverage/).

## Sources

| Country | Code | Source | Dashboard label | Looks up by | Also needs | Minimum age |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| United States | `US` | `US_PREFILL` | US Pre-fill | `phone` | one of `dateOfBirth`, `ssn`, `surName` | none |
| United States | `US` | `US_PREFILL_EXPRESS` | US Pre-fill Express | `phone` | nothing | none |
| Brazil | `BR` | `BR_PREFILL` | BR Pre-fill | `taxIdNumber` (CPF) | nothing | 18 |

## Input formats

| Field | Format |
|---|---|
| `phone` | `E.164`, with the country code. Only `+1` numbers are accepted; the data source makes the final call on numbers from other `+1` regions, such as Canada |
| `dateOfBirth` | `yyyy-MM-dd`, not in the future and not more than 130 years ago |
| `ssn` | 9 digits, as `123456789` or `123-45-6789` |
| `surName` | Last name, at most 100 characters |
| `taxIdNumber` | Brazilian CPF, as 11 digits or `XXX.XXX.XXX-XX`. The check digits are verified before the lookup |

## Returned data per source

A Yes in the table below means the source can return the field; it is returned only when the source holds the data.

| Field | `US_PREFILL` | `US_PREFILL_EXPRESS` | `BR_PREFILL` |
|---|---|---|---|
| `returnedFirstName`, `returnedLastName` | Yes | Yes | No |
| `returnedFullName` | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| `returnedDob` | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| `returnedSsn`, `returnedIsItin` | Yes | Yes | No |
| `returnedTaxIdNumber` | No | No | Yes |
| `returnedPersonSignals` | Yes | Yes | No |
| `returnedPhoneDetails` | Yes | Yes | No |
| `returnedPhoneStatus`, `phoneValid` | No | Yes | No |
| `returnedEmails` | Yes | Yes (up to 4) | Yes (up to 4) |
| `returnedAddresses` | Yes | Yes (up to 4) | Yes (up to 4, no signals) |
| `returnedCreditSignals` | Yes | Yes | No |
| `returnedDriverLicenses` | Yes (when enabled) | Yes (when enabled, up to 4) | No |
| `returnedAssociatedPhoneNumbers` | Yes | Yes (up to 4) | No |
| `additionalProfiles` | No | Yes (up to 4) | No |
| `checkStatus: inconclusive` | No | No | Yes |

Driver's licenses are returned only when the module's **Include driver's license data** option is on. When it is on and the person has no license on file, `US_PREFILL` returns `returnedDriverLicenses: []` and `US_PREFILL_EXPRESS` leaves the field out. Treat both the same.

On `fail`, `US_PREFILL_EXPRESS` still returns `returnedPhoneDetails`, `returnedPhoneStatus`, and `phoneValid` for the looked-up number when the source checked it.

## Lookup limits

| Source | Lookups per session |
|---|---|
| `US_PREFILL` | 3 |
| `US_PREFILL_EXPRESS` | 3 |
| `BR_PREFILL` | 1 |

Each answer (`pass`, `partialPass`, `fail`, or `inconclusive`) uses up one lookup, and the limit does not reset. A repeated call with the same input in the same session returns the stored result without using up a lookup. Requests rejected with `400` and source failures (`503`) do not count. See [Lookups per session](/general-reference/ekyc-prefill-api-reference/#lookups-per-session) in the eKYC Prefill API Reference.
