The Know Your Business (KYB) module verifies the identity and legitimacy of a business by matching the business details submitted for a session against government and commercial data sources.
Note
This module is different than eKYB.
Rather than running one fixed verification, it offers the flexibility to select from the following checks and run only what a given use case needs:
- Identity
- Address
- Registration status
- Associated people
- Web presence
- Industry
- Financial risk
- Group structure
Incode routes the request to the data source that covers the selected country. This supports flexible, risk-based business verification, running and billing only the checks a decision actually requires.

How it works
The business details and the list of checks to run are submitted for the session.
By default, this module:
- Validates the submitted details against the requirements of the selected country and checks requested.
- Runs the requested checks the source supports, skipping any the source doesn’t.
- Returns the result of every check that finished, along with a
referenceId. See the KYB API Reference. - Sends one
KYB_RESULTSwebhook once every check has finished.
This module can also:
- Select which checks to run per session, rather than always running a fixed set.
- Retrieve in-progress results later, by webhook or by polling with the
referenceId.
