Dashboard platform administration, Review Verification Sessions

View Session Details

Info

Beta The Dashboard functionality described on this page is in Beta. It is not yet generally available. Contact your Incode representative for more information.

The Sessions page in Dashboard allows you to open an individual session to see its details. Open a session from the sessions table to review its decision, verification results, captured media, and supporting information.

Using the toggle in the top right, you can switch between two views:

  • Overview: Quickly understand the session's outcome.
  • Detailed view: Examine each verification check that ran.

In both views, only information relevant to that session appears.

Overview

The Overview answers the key questions about a session: whether the face and document are real, whether the person is who they say they are, and whether the session is low risk. Its contents depend on the modules enabled in the Flow or Workflow and the information collected during the session. Not every session shows the same cards and sections.

At the top of the Overview, you can see:

  • Score: The session's overall verification score, displayed out of 100. A higher score indicates a stronger verification result. Review the decision and supporting results instead of relying on the score alone.
  • Decision: The session's overall result, such as Approved or Rejected. The score's color reflects this decision.
  • Name: The name associated with the session.
  • ID photo: The image of the submitted identity document.
  • Selfie: The image captured by the person during the session.
  • Risk AI: When Risk AI Agent is enabled, its result appears as a pill in the header. Click the pill to view its details.

Use the ID photo and selfie to make a quick visual comparison between the document portrait and the person completing the verification. As you scroll, a condensed header stays at the top of the page with the selfie, name, decision, and score.

To copy the session ID, click Copy Session ID Icon of two squares, one overlapping the other next to it at the top of the page. To escalate the session, view session info, and more, click Options Icon of three dots stacked on top of each other. For more information, see Additional Options.

Verification Questions

The cards near the top of the Overview answer the most important questions about the session. Each card shows:

  • Question: What the card evaluates, such as Is this a real face?
  • Answer: The result for that question, such as Real Face or Not Real Face. The answer's color reflects the result: green for a passing answer, red for a failing or inconclusive answer, and gray when the checks did not run and are not affecting the score.
  • Module and check pills: The modules and checks that contributed to the answer and their status.

At least four cards always appear. Optional cards appear only when their modules are included in the Flow or Workflow.

Question Possible Answers Contributing Modules and Checks
Is this a real face? Real Face, Not Real Face, Not run, Inconclusive Liveness, Deepsight Face
Is this a real document? Real Document, Not Real Document, Not run, Inconclusive ID Validation, Deepsight Document
Is this person who they say they are? Identity Confirmed, Identity Not Confirmed, Not run, Inconclusive Face Recognition, GovMatch, eKYC, eKYB, CURP Validation, Video Selfie
Is this a low risk session? Low Risk, High Risk, Not run, Inconclusive TrustGraph, Antifraud, Incode Watchlists, Custom Watchlists, Device and Behavioral Signals
Is this person above the age threshold?
(optional)
Above 18, Not Above 18, Not run Age Verification
Is this person authenticated?
(optional)
Authenticated, Not Authenticated, Not run Face Authentication
Did the cross-checks pass?
(optional)
Pass, Fail, Not run, Inconclusive Each cross-check is shown as a pill

Module Results

Below the cards, the Overview repeats each answered question, green or red. It then lists the modules that answered that question. Each module shows:

  • Name: The name of the module, such as ID Validation.
  • Score or status: A score out of 100, or one of the following statuses:
    • Not Run: The module was included in the Flow or Workflow but could not run.
    • Not Run – Fail: The module could not run, and this counted as a failure for the session.
  • Number of checks: How many checks ran for that particular module.
  • See details: Opens the module's section in Detailed view to review its checks and related images. If a module failed, its details might open with the failed checks already selected.

Captured Media

Captured Media contains the visual artifacts collected during the session, such as:

  • The selfie
  • The front of the identity document
  • The back of the identity document

Below each image, its label shows the number of capture attempts. Click an image to view it in a dialog, zoom in, and inspect each attempt. This can help you identify glare, blur, cropping, or other capture issues that affected a result.

Captured Signals

Captured Signals contains additional information collected or derived during the session. Depending on the Flow or Workflow and the person's device, this can include:

  • Extracted document data, such as OCR results
  • Consent records
  • Signatures
  • Device information
  • Browser information

TrustGraph Details

To review the underlying checks and relationship graph, see TrustGraph in Detailed view.

Detailed View

The Detailed view provides a check-by-check breakdown of the session. Use it when you need to investigate an individual result, review the evidence behind a check, or follow the verification in the order it occurred. At the top of the Detailed view, you can see:

  • Selfie: The image captured by the person during the session.
  • Name: The name associated with the session.
  • Decision: The session's overall result, such as Approved or Rejected. The score's color reflects this decision.
  • Score: The session's overall verification score, displayed out of 100. A higher score indicates a stronger verification result. Review the decision and supporting results instead of relying on the score alone.

The tabs underneath correspond to the categories of checks on the page. Select a tab to move directly to that category. The tabs group related checks by purpose: for example, Liveness and Face Recognition appear together under the Face category. The available tabs depend on the Flow or Workflow and the modules that ran. They can include categories such as:

Select a tab when you already know which type of evidence you want to review.

When Risk AI Agent is enabled, its result appears in the header. It is not a separate category. This is because Risk AI Agent evaluates the session as a whole. Select its result to open the available Risk AI Agent details.

Category and Module Results

Each category contains the modules, checks, media, and supporting data associated with that part of the verification. A category header shows its overall result. Individual module pills show the score or status returned by each module. Because a category can contain multiple modules, its result can differ from an individual module's result.

Face

The Face category contains the evidence used to evaluate the face captured during the session. Depending on the Flow or Workflow, it can include:

  • Liveness
  • Face Recognition
  • Deepsight Face
  • A comparison of the selfie and other images captured during the session

The Face category result reflects the applicable biometric checks. Individual score pills allow you to distinguish, for example, the Liveness result from the Face Recognition result.

Use this category to determine:

  • Whether a live person completed the session.
  • Whether the captured face matches the document portrait or other identity evidence.
  • Which specific biometric check produced a failure or inconclusive result.

Document

The Document category contains the submitted document images and the checks performed on them. Depending on the session, it can include:

  • ID Validation
  • Deepsight Document
  • Front and back document images
  • OCR and extracted document information

Individual score or status pills identify the modules that contribute to the Document result.

OCR data provides supporting information but does not independently determine the Document category's pass-or-fail result. Use it to compare the extracted fields with the visible document and other session data.

Video Selfie

When enabled, the Video Selfie category contains the media and checks associated with the video capture. Use this category to review:

  • The captured video or representative images.
  • The checks performed on the video.
  • Face or document evidence collected during the capture.
  • The score or status returned by Video Selfie.

This category appears only when Video Selfie applies to the session.

Deepsight

When applicable, the Deepsight category contains the detailed face, document, or trust checks produced by Deepsight. Use it to review:

  • The individual checks behind the Deepsight result.
  • Associated images or video, when available.

The exact information shown depends on which Deepsight capabilities ran during the session. Unlike the Overview, which shows Deepsight Face and Deepsight Document on separate cards, the Detailed view keeps all Deepsight results in one category.

External Sources

The External Sources category groups results obtained by checking identity information against authoritative or third-party data sources. Depending on the Flow or Workflow, this can include checks such as:

Review each module's result and details to determine whether the submitted identity information matched the source and whether the source returned any relevant risk indicators.

TrustGraph

When TrustGraph is enabled, the TrustGraph category shows how the current session relates to other identities, devices, documents, faces, and sessions. It contains a table for each TrustGraph check:

  • Suspected Repeat Fraudster: Matches against identities, devices, and documents previously labelled fraudulent.
  • First-Party Fraud: Catches abuse reported by an institution about users who are who they claim to be but act in bad faith.
  • Unusual Activity: Surfaces inconsistencies across sessions, like one document appearing with several faces.
  • Velocity: Flags the same attribute onboarding abnormally often within a configured time window.
  • Fraud Rings: Evaluates the session against discovered fraud clusters in real time.

Each table shows the check's status, such as Passed, Failed, or Error, along with reason codes and the number of matches found.

TrustGraph also includes an Explorer that shows the session's fraud ring as an interactive graph, with the current session and its connected sessions. Click a node to view its details, or expand it to see more connections. If the session isn't part of a fraud ring, the Explorer says so.

Supplementary Data

The Supplementary Data category contains supporting information collected or derived during the session. Depending on the Flow or Workflow and the person's device, it can include:

  • User consent
  • Signatures
  • Device information
  • Browser information
  • Location
  • Cross-check results
  • Additional extracted data

This information provides context for the verification but does not necessarily contribute directly to a score or pass-or-fail result.

Session Journey

The session journey appears on the right side of the Detailed view. On its Flow tab, it lists the modules as timestamped steps in the order they occurred. Use the Flow tab to:

  • Follow the person's progress through the verification.
  • See which modules ran and when.
  • Move directly to the details for a step.
  • Identify where a failure, interruption, or missing result occurred.

Event Log

When available, the session journey's Event Log tab provides a chronological record of session activity, including when modules were opened and closed. Use it to review steps, transitions, errors, and other events that occurred during the verification.

The Event Log tab complements the session journey's Flow tab: the Flow tab provides direct navigation between verification steps, while the Event Log provides a more complete operational record.

Session Info

The session journey's Session Info tab shows:

  • The name of the Flow or Workflow used, with a link to it, and its configuration version, which indicates which version of the Flow or Workflow's settings applied when the session ran.
  • The session ID.
  • Timestamps for when the session started, ended, and, if applicable, expired.
  • The organization in Dashboard the session is associated with.
  • The session status: Completed or Not Completed.
